Job Description: The Regional Operations Manager works under the direct supervision of the Director of Imaging to maintain an effective and efficiently run imaging department. This management position is responsible for assisting with the overall day to day operation of the Imaging clinics including clinical teams. Provides leadership, staff development, and management of key functions to provide high quality patient care. Assist with various reporting duties and day to day clinical operations of all imaging modalities at assigned Tennessee Oncology imaging sites. Displays interpersonal skills required by exercising judgment and discretion when dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Supports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Conduct and Business Standards. The ROM is responsible for overseeing the overall day to day operation of the clinical operations of regional imaging clinics. The ROM is expected to provide leadership, staff oversight, training and development and management of key functions and processes to assure provision of high-quality patient care. He/she su pports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology's mission, vision, and values. He/she works with the Director of Imaging to assure compliance for all governing agents to include but not limited to: OSHA, ACR, TN Department of Health, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations at Regional Imaging sites. Assists with staffing, scheduling, and flow of the clinical staff to ensure safe environment and quality patient care. Assists with overseeing the clinical operational activities of the clinics. Ensures radiation safety techniques are being followed appropriately from staff. Assists with acquiring images for ACR accreditation. Responsible for payroll and overtime as assigned. Coordinates with the radiologists to ensure image quality is sufficient. Helps adjust imaging protocols as needed. Coordinates the review, approval, and coverage of clinical staff requests for time off as assigned. Assists with oversight and management of all inventories and purchasing. Assists with completion of annual evaluations and counseling and/or disciplinary processes/corrective action at the verbal or written level. Attends meetings as required. Orients and mentors new staff members. Comprehensive knowledge of CT cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiation protection concepts. Supports and communicates TNONC strategic goals and priorities to staff as requested. Works with Director of Imaging Services and Assistant Director to enhance operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment, high quality patient care and patient/employee satisfaction. Creates and maintains an environment of trust, integrity, open communication, teamwork, and respect. Establishes a culture of accountability and praise and recognition. Maintains competencies to be in staffing as needed. Works collaboratively with others who interact with the clinic as well as with vendors, contractors, and building maintenance. Assists with outside vendor requirements such as building maintenance, supply companies, property management, cleaning service, phone & cable services as well as all equipment needs and repairs. Demonstrates outstanding customer service and displays appropriate behavior. Performs all duties in accordance with Tennessee Oncology Policies and Procedures Manual and supplemental procedure established for its Imaging Centers KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals with various degrees of training and education. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, clinical and administrative staff, and the public. High level of customer service ethics with courteous demeanor and the ability to process patient and public inquiries, including complaints, and respond with poise and efficiency.
