Position Summary: The Client Account Specialist helps self-pay clients develop a financial plan for treatment services and helps ensure clients keep appointments to get the care they need. The position maximizes the value of financial assistance awarded to clients and ensure that clients pay for their care in a timely manner. Schedule : 7:30 -5.00 Flex CST Location: Remote Compensation: $23.00- $25.00 How Client Account Specialists Empower Recovery: Heavy phone usage in and outbound calls. Pro-actively identifies and escalates client account problems to Client Account Team Lead. Takes incoming phone calls Demonstrates empathy, compassion, respect and active listening when answering questions and making phone inquiries related to client accounts. Works with the admission coordinators if client has follow up questions prior to admission. Works in accordance with TEP Financial Review policy to resolve delinquent accounts; prepares payment plans and monitors compliance with payment plans; directs accounts to outside collection agencies when necessary. Reviews applications for financial assistance; contacts clients regarding the outcome; and allocates funding to approved financial assistance recipients. Responsible for return mail, COB denials, Faxes, Emails, tickets, disputes, self-pay balances. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical patient access or billing office knowledge required. Professional Qualifications: Two years of phone experience with customers. Two years of experience in health care working with client benefit coverage and/or claims preferred. Experience working in a behavioral health environment preferred Basic knowledge of Teams, Outlook and Office programs with ability to learn new applications Knowledge of running data reports. Competencies: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Solid Interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships. Demonstrate initiative and exercise good judgement (e.g., in starting tasks, asking questions, identifying and discussing problems, ability to structure own work, stay on task). Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities. Shows passion for our business, clients, and values. Workplace Environment: 90% sitting/10% standing Ability to lift 15 pounds Ability to focus in an open workspace environment Ability to adjust to a workflow pace that fluctuates widely.
