The Trainee Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the store while gaining the knowledge and practical experience required to progress into a management role. The position focuses on developing strong leadership capability, operational understanding, and customer service excellence within a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, merchandising, pricing accuracy, stock rotation, and security. Under the guidance of store management, the Trainee Manager will learn to manage budgets, control shrinkage, optimise stock levels, implement promotions, and lead a motivated team to achieve sales and profitability targets. This role is ideal for an individual who is results-driven, eager to learn, and able to take initiative while working collaboratively with others. Minimum Requirements Grade 12, Higher qualification (advantageous) 2- 3 years retail experience Must be able to pass given assessments at the required level Must be successful in at least 2 competency based interviews Must be flexible and willing to be transferred between stores Must be willing to give authorization for a full credit and criminal check Must be Matriculated (attach certified copy to application) Must have a valid South African ID (attach copy to application) Must have a valid Driver's license code 08 (attach certified copy of license) Competencies: Leadership skills - Monitor and develop other's performance.
