Requirements

• Must have completed or be enrolled in PSYC 5Y51/52 or PSYC 7Y51/52/53 OR Minimum 3rd Year complete and currently enrolled in a PSYC BA or BSc program, with an average of at least 80; and have taken this course within the previous five years, and achieved a grade of at least 80. Previous successful experience as a TA in this course in an academic setting will be considered as equivalent. 2. Must demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of all aspects of the course to clearly explain all course topics; 3. Must have strong writing and editing skills and a thorough understanding of APA writing style; 4. Must have excellent oral communication skills; 5. Must have the interpersonal qualities to be supportive of students and effective in leading group discussion; 6. Must have strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to keep accurate records/manage data; 7. Must have excellent time management skills in order to cover the required course material during the available seminar/lab or tutorial time; 8. Must be adept at providing feedback to students in a constructive manner; 9. Must be able and willing to present material/conduct seminars remotely; 10. Must be able and willing to maintain contact with the instructor, fellow teaching assistants and enrolled students by email and audio-video conferencing and conduct seminars and office hours via audio-video conferencing in a timely-fashion; 11. Must be available for on-campus activities during all scheduled seminar times.
