Position Overview: A tax specialist opportunity has arisen with a growing global technology company . This position will be an essential role with the international tax department, and will collaborate closely with the company's Global Business Services team in Cork, Ireland. The role currently offers a hybrid work environment with a competitive remuneration package. This is a fixed term role, initially expected to be 12 months. Role & Responsibilities: Ensure indirect tax returns are completed, reviewed, filed, and paid accurately. Perform periodic balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings for indirect tax balances. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to respond to tax related queries including new supply chains, customer contracts, and tax audits. Implement updates to the ERP for new/revised rates, new/amended reporting. Participate in rollout of invoicing mandates and testing of same. Assist in resolving issues in AP/AR/Revenue as necessary to ensure VAT compliance is completed with minimal disruption and AP/AR/Revenue functions are supported in their related needs. Maintain culture of excellent customer service, ensuring responsiveness to our customers & continue to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers of GBS. Oversee the maintenance of the VAT issues log and ensure issues are prioritised, actioned and closed in a timely manner. Ensure an accurate update is provided to the Director GBS during monthly VAT issues log meeting. Maintain strong internal control environment adhering to all relevant controls for areas under remit to minimise SOX deficiencies and PCA's. Ensure all SOPs for areas under remit are reviewed and maintained. Required Skills & Experience: Qualified Tax Analyst or Accountant, or equivalent experience gained in a tax, finance, or compliance environment 3+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) ideally within indirect tax, compliance, or regulatory reporting Strong understanding of tax processes, statutory requirements, and digital compliance frameworks (e.g., e‑invoicing, real‑time reporting) Proven ability to interpret legislation, analyse data, and support implementation of new tax or compliance mandates Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams Preferred Skills & Experience: Ideal candidate will have experience in International Indirect tax in Industry. Proficient in Oracle/other similar ERP and excel and other data analytic tools.
