ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: AI-powered Vision Inspection systems in a live manufacturing environment The primary focus is machine learning and computer vision, with a secondary scope in software and web tool development for system monitoring. Develop and improve AI models for image-based product inspection, covering anomaly detection and defect classification Analyze inspection results and continuously monitor Vision system performance Support development of dashboards and monitoring tools for the engineering team Collect and prepare image data from the production line for AI model training and evaluation Collaborate with the team to identify issues and propose system improvements Document development progress, findings, and test results This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum. REQUIRED: Currently pursuing a Master's Degree or A Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (preferred), Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent Co-op Internship period of at least 4-8 months
