About the role

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for providing counterintelligence support to the Research and Technology elements of the Agency. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. You may qualify at the GG -13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Providing independent counterintelligence and/or force protection briefings; Providing counterintelligence support to federal agencies and/or private sector organizations; Conducting analysis on matters of counterintelligence or force protection concern; Conducting counterintelligence assessments on affiliated facilities, infrastructure, and/or programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
