Training Instructor

About the role

You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the MARINER SKILLS TRAINING CENTER PACIFIC (MSTCPAC) of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Instructing students/personnel in navigation, seamanship and ship handling; 2) Utilizing bridge simulators or similar ship handling simulators as instruction techniques and competency assessment methods; and 3) Recommending improvements to navigation, seamanship and ship handling training classes, and; 4) Evaluating performance of students/personnel to determine effectiveness of instruction and training material.
