Chemours is seeking an Electrician to join our growing team! This position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor in our Starke, Florida location. Safely perform highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems for mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week maximizing equipment availability and reducing downtime. Electrician will support active operations by maintaining and servicing mechanical and electrical machinery, instrumentation, control, lighting and fixtures, outlets and wiring, generators as well as install, replace, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical distribution systems including electric motors, transformers, switchgear, starters, and MCC's. Preferred candidate will be a qualified industrial electrician capable of working closely with maintenance and operations teams in a mining and mineral processing environment. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Daily activities Ensure all work is performed within company, state, and federal regulations, standards, statutes, policies, and procedures. Identify and promote opportunities to improve mine safety performance, act as a safety leader. Maintain and service all machinery, including mechanical and electrical, instrumentation, control, lighting and fixtures, outlets and wiring, generators, etc. Install, replace, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical distribution systems including electric motors, transformers, switchgear, starters, and MCC's. Fabricate, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain DCS and PLC control systems, SCADA and wireless systems, control panels, control boxes, and specialized electrical equipment and machinery. Complete open work orders and complete preventive maintenance activities as required by manufacturers OEM standards. Assist mechanics in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and process equipment. Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service. Goals for the role Act as a Safety Leader to ensure individual and team Safety remain top priority in the planning and execution of all tasks. Work closely with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) personnel targeting zero incidents and continuous improvement of mine site EHS performance. Continuous improvement in maintenance approach, encourage initiatives intended to reduce safety risk, increase productivity and efficiency, reduce maintenance cost.
