Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Secondary Chemistry lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus to enhance student understanding and academic performance
• Provide individualized support to students to address learning gaps and strengthen math skills
• Monitor and track student progress regularly and communicate feedback effectively to parents
• Develop and refine teaching materials, worksheets, and lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
• Create and maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning
• Participate actively in trainings, meetings, and team development sessions to improve teaching effectiveness
• Support centre initiatives including academic programs and marketing activities to contribute to centre growth
• Manage classroom dynamics and student behavior to ensure a productive learning atmosphere
• Travel to the East region as required and work at least one weekend per week to meet operational needs
• Required competencies and certifications
• Degree in Chemistry, Science or a related field
• Strong understanding of the Singapore Secondary Chemistry syllabus, including O-Level content
• Educated within the Singapore education system
• Ability to work at least one weekend per week
• Willingness to travel
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience in Secondary Chemistry
• Passion for teaching and working with students
• Strong communication skills to engage students and liaise with parents
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain discipline and foster learning
