About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Relationship Manager to support the Private Banking team in delivering high-quality client servicing and investment support to high-net-worth clients. This role offers excellent exposure to wealth management products, investment execution, client onboarding processes, and front-office banking operations within a fast-paced private banking environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers, Product Development, Operations, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of client transactions and exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in servicing high-net-worth clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate closely with Product Development, Operations, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders on daily operational and client-related matters.
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation reviews and processes in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of periodic investment market updates and wealth management materials to clients.
  • Support the placement and execution of investment transactions across a range of products including FX, bonds, equities, mutual funds, and structured products.
  • Maintain and update client records, transaction reports, investment documentation, and client data accurately and promptly.
  • Monitor and support dealing infrastructure, operational processes, and investment-related systems to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Prepare and manage sales documentation, investment product agreements, and service-related documentation.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on client requests and deliver a high standard of customer service and client experience.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, operational initiatives, and process improvement activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Prior experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Consumer Banking, Investment Operations, Client Services, or related financial services environment will be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of financial markets, investment products, and wealth management practices.
  • Familiarity with KYC, AML, and client onboarding processes within banking or financial institutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous, proactive, and client-focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Business proficiency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Preferred Certifications
  • Candidates with the following certifications will have an added advantage:
  • CACS
  • CMFAS RES1B and RES2B (or RES12B)
  • RES5
  • CM-EIP and CM-SIP (or CM-CMP)
  • CM-CIS
  • Equivalent legacy CMFAS certifications (e.g. M1A/M1B, M2A, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M8A) are also accepted if valid.
