About the role

This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent serves as the Curriculum Operations and Support Specialist, in the Military Cilvilian Transition Office (MCTO) within the Defense Support Services Center (DSSC). Manages assigned functional courses and oversees curriculum development tasks delegated to civilian, contracted, and military course or lessons authors or editors. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Development, implementation and delivery of in-person and virtual curriculum across the transition and reintegration enterprise; Assign and manage tasks to meet stated goals and objectives. Develop online curriculum using Articulate 360's two primary e-learning course authoring tools Storyline and Rise. Determine and implement guidelines for curriculum development, and instructional programs. Ensure technical accuracy and consistency of final products through written and oral communications with emphasis on ability to prepare, articulate, and present views and findings. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 1701 series. A. Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position. B. Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above. Compute the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total should be at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)*NOTE: Failure to provide transcripts could result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
