Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to restore function, enhance independence, and improve participation in meaningful daily activities.
- Deliver comprehensive rehabilitative care for patients experiencing physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial challenges across the lifespan.
- Design, implement, and oversee personalized rehabilitation programs that address each patient's physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and environmental needs.
- Empower patients and caregivers through education, support, and resource coordination to maximize independence and self-management.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Establish, monitor, and adjust treatment goals throughout the episode of care while facilitating safe and successful discharge planning.
- Advocate for patients by promoting access to appropriate services, resources, and support systems that optimize outcomes and quality of life.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and provide age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree preferred, but not required
- Occupational Therapist
- Entry-level role; less than 1 year OT experience required
