About the role
Most strategic finance hires inherit a model. You'll build the one Mutiny runs on. As our first finance and biz ops lead, you'll partner with the founders to answer the questions that decide where the next dollar goes: where do we make money, what's actually driving conversion at customers, and where are we leaving money on the table. The model you build, the systems you wire up, and the calls you push to make become the operating fabric of a company growing 100%+ month-over-month. This role is in person in New York City, five days a week.
Responsibilities
- The financial model. Create the single source of truth for how Mutiny grows, including revenue, funnel health, conversion, expansion, retention, burn, and runway.
- Revenue generator. Figure out what's actually moving the number. Which segments convert, which motions compound, which deals slip and why. And take action to fix the problem or maximize the opportunity.
- The operating cadence. Design the rhythm of how we run. Weekly numbers reviews, board prep, planning cycles. Ship the systems that make decisions sharper and faster.
- Pricing and packaging. Continually optimize our pricing and packaging for both PLG and enterprise to maximize revenue growth and optimize margins. Pressure-test where we're leaving money on the table.
- GTM partnership. Sit with sales and marketing. Understand pipeline at the rep level. Help them increase revenue per rep 50% YoY through system and tool optimization.
- Systems and data. The data stack, CRM hygiene, the financial systems. If a number is wrong, you fix the source.
- Capital strategy. Inform fundraising, hiring plans, and unit economics. The numbers you hand the founders are the numbers they take to the board.
Requirements
- Simplifier. You can stare at a messy funnel for an hour and pull out the three numbers that explain everything. You move from question to insight to action because you have a nose for what matters and are creative.
- Revenue systems thinker. You don't just analyze. You design how things should work, then ship the workflow that makes it happen. You understand the entire revenue lifecycle and how different levers impact each other.
- Technical and full-stack. You live in Claude Code, SQL, the data warehouse, the CRM, and know how to connect it all. If you ask someone else to pull some data, you're eager to learn how to do it yourself the next time around.

Additional Information
What we're building The #1 priority of every CEO is to grow the company. But the business teams responsible for revenue are stuck in a soul-crushing web of dependencies that prevent them from growing. Marketing has a winning idea but design and engineering can't prioritize building the campaign. Sales needs a custom business case to close a deal but marketing is slammed. Every dependency is revenue missed. We built Mutiny to solve this problem. Mutiny is the self-improving AI infrastructure for GTM teams to execute faster and close more revenue. Our ambition: do for revenue velocity what Cursor and Claude Code did for engineering velocity. With Mutiny, everyone in sales and marketing gets a bench of GTM athletes that handle any work across their revenue motion and learn from what's actually moved their deals. From breaking into new verticals and personas to personalizing every interaction with every customer, Mutiny takes on the manual work so your team can run faster. In April we re-launched the product as an agent-first platform. Anthropic showcased us as a leader in AI GTM. MRR is growing at 100%+ month-over-month, 10x faster than any product we have launched, with customers like Rippling, Uber, Snowflake, Zendesk, and Gusto. Now we're ramping up the team to help us build a generational company.
