Career Team is looking to hire dynamic Career Navigators to work with adults from Ventura County, CA to provide career counseling and intensive case management to obtain training and employment in entry level health care jobs across the region, for the HUD-CDBG Project HEAL grant. The Career Navigator will be able to work well autonomously, and within a team to be able to maintain and strengthen partnerships with existing partners. The Career Navigator is accountable for ensuring quality and integrity across all workforce functions within the mission of accelerating the human condition! These positions are expected to be hybrid, with 80% of time onsite and 20% of time remote work. The Career Navigator is an integral part of our team and will assist us with our mission of accelerating the human condition! Your Impact on Career Team's Success : Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One-Stop system Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program. Assess jobseekers' employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing and other methods Enter data into and otherwise use and process clients through the Career Edge data systems Assist all clients to complete career assessments and to develop a comprehensive Individual Employment Plan (IEP) Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services; Complete Individual Training Account (ITA) vouchers, and other documents required for clients entering training Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs or job opportunities and follow-up on those activities Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs and other group presentations for clients Follow all policies, procedures and regulations related to eligibility documentation to ensure that case files have originals and/or copies of required documents for service delivery. Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements Provide referral and tracking of eligible customers into contracted programs provided on-site at the One-Stop centers and/or located in the community in accordance with established contracts Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff related events as required including but not limited to: training, staff meetings and individual supervision Complete all required reports Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset Other duties and projects as needed The Ideal Qualifications Include : High School Diploma/GED or higher 2+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or other services 2+ years of case management experience and the ability to read and interpret policies and procedures 2+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive 2+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with an aptitude for communication, interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others, show courteousness, and having a high level of professionalism Experience in recruiting or marketing services Experience and knowledge of workforce and/or government contracts/programs A demonstrated ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally-diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive A demonstrated ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills A Valid Driver's License Career Team also offers a competitive package including : 401k with a generous employer match; medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employee-sponsored HSA on any qualifying plans; disability insurance; and supplemental insurance Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually based on experience Travel : Position may require local travel up to 30% of the time Position Type: Non-Exempt, full-time About Career Team: Founded in 1996, Career Team, LLC is a private workforce development organization.
