The role of Paralegal is to support the members of the litigation motor team in achieving Client KPI's and SLA's. The team handle cases from Corporate clients with a value of up to £100K. The litigated motor team are a growing team and the role of Paralegal is a great stepping-stone for someone wanting to embark on their legal career. Key Accountabilities To undertake a range of duties on files including; diarising court orders, dealing with CRU, sending chasers, processing imprest payments, completion of MI file closure and other delegated chargeable non-legal tasks. To achieve a chargeable target To assist with other non-chargeable duties including file closures/transfer and other administration tasks as requested by the team. Working Hours 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is our Liverpool Office, St Pauls Square. We are hybrid workers with attendance required 1 day a week and 4 days from home. Experience, Skills and Qualifications Established interest in law either through further education or experience within a process driven legal environment. IT Literate; Proficient in MS Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Ability to plan and prioritise workloads Calm under pressure with the ability to re-prioritise and delegate effectively when required. Confident with ability to take initiative to innovate and adapt to changing situations. Good team worker with the flexibility to do what is required to get a result and ensure client service levels are met. Work effectively within the Keoghs Shared Behaviour framework. Confidence to seek advice and guidance when dealing with new tasks. Excellent listening and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow instruction with attention to detail. Client care - Respond professionally to client requests and have an ability to maintain an even disposition whilst handling sensitive and/or confidential material.
