This full-time opportunity offers the chance to provide advanced radiation therapy treatments utilizing state-of-the-art technology within a nationally recognized academic medical center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate cancer care to both adult and pediatric patients. Working alongside radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and fellow radiation therapists, you will help provide exceptional patient care while utilizing advanced treatment technologies, including Varian Linear Accelerators, CT Simulation, IMRT, IGRT, and image-guided radiation therapy. This position is ideal for an experienced Radiation Therapist seeking to practice at the top of scope within a collaborative, patient-centered Radiation Oncology program dedicated to innovation, clinical excellence, and outstanding patient outcomes. Position Responsibilities Deliver prescribed external beam radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately. Operate Varian Linear Accelerators and perform daily machine warm-ups, quality checks, and equipment verifications. Perform CT Simulation procedures to support radiation treatment planning. Support treatment delivery utilizing 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). Prepare and utilize immobilization devices to ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment reproducibility. Verify treatment parameters in collaboration with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physicists. Review treatment documentation and maintain accurate records within the electronic medical record (EMR). Adhere to all radiation safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and regulatory requirements. Educate patients and families regarding radiation therapy procedures and treatment expectations. Provide compassionate support throughout the patient's cancer treatment journey. Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members. Support treatment services for both adult and pediatric oncology populations. Contribute to efficient clinic workflow and daily operations.
