The Manager, Systems Integration - Robotics will lead the team in implementing the framework and processes to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the incredibly complex Johnson & Johnson OTTAVA Robotic System within the R&D organization. This is a role that lies at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and clinical engineering. This individual will have the opportunity to train and observe clinicians, key opinion leaders, and high-profile visitors interacting with the OTTAVA System. They will provide program level contributions and management of the team's responsibilities. This team will operate the system during clinical labs, troubleshoot and resolve known issues, document novel issues that arise during system use, perform SW installation and smoke testing, and provide complex engineering test support for R&D applications. Applicants should have technical and leadership experience working with complex electromechanical systems but need not have a technical background in robotics. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with an interest in medical robotics to gain technical and industry knowledge, while providing a critical service to the OTTAVA program. The successful candidate will both be able to dive into technical details, as well as grow the team in size, skill, and career path. This individual will develop a team of highly technical engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to develop high quality products, meeting both time and budget considerations in line with Company objectives. Core Job Responsibilities: Lead and implement the framework and processes to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the systems. Build and lead a team of technical specialists responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and debugging the system in development and clinical labs. Drive functional excellence in the Systems Integration team through initiatives and goal alignment. Establish strategic plans, objectives and clear results. Develop and consistently maintain systems for work planning, execution, and reporting. Identify, manage and mitigate technical risk and project risk through coordination with cross-disciplinary team in R&D and external collaborators. Lead recruiting, onboarding, new hire integration, and mentoring/growth opportunities for the team members. Collaborate with Field Service Engineering team for site assessment, system installation, deployment, and clinical training in hospital operating rooms. Qualifications - Education and Experience: One of the following combinations of years of experience and education are required: A.) BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering or other applicable technical degree with 8 or more years' of related experience B.) MS in Engineering or other applicable technical degree with 5 or more years of related experience C.)
