About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the successful delivery of Cost Management commissions across a range of projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and excellent client service from inception through to completion. Assist in the delivery of Cost Management commissions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to a high standard. Support senior team members in the preparation of cost estimates, cost plans, tender documentation, and financial reporting. Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders. Contribute to the effective management of project costs throughout all project stages. Collaborate with Senior Surveyors, Associates, and wider project teams to ensure efficient delivery of services. Assist in preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, and final accounts. Support business development activities, including bid preparation and client engagement opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, cost management practices, and professional development requirements. Ensure all Cost Management outputs are delivered in line with agreed timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will bring experience within the buildings sector, along with the following qualifications and professional credentials:
  • Degree Qualified - BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • Professionally Qualified or working towards Chartered Status with the SCSI / RICS.
  • 3-5 years' proven experience in a consultancy environment providing a range of Cost Management services, including Pre-Contract Estimating, Procurement, Cost Reporting, and Final Account preparation.
  • Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement processes, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of Public Works Contracts and RIAI standard forms of contract.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services and achieving positive client outcomes.
  • Ability to support clients and design teams on cost planning, value management, and project risk considerations.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using digital measurement, cost planning, and tender document tools.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
