Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, cash flow, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and supporting management with strategic financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management
• Manage the full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor company cash flow and working capital.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Accounting & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Prepare GST submissions and corporate tax schedules.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and government authorities.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IRAS, ACRA and statutory requirements.
• Business & Commercial Support
• Analyse profitability by product, customer and sales channel.
• Monitor inventory valuation and costing.
• Review pricing and gross margins.
• Support management with financial planning and business decisions.
• Develop financial reports and dashboards for management.
• Internal Controls
• Establish and improve financial policies and procedures.
• Monitor company expenses and budget utilisation.
• Review internal controls and identify financial risks.
• Ensure proper approval processes are followed.
• Treasury
• Manage banking facilities and relationships.
• Monitor receivables and collections.
• Manage supplier payments.
• Forecast cash requirements.
• Team Management
• Lead and mentor the finance team.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, procurement and logistics departments.
• Support ERP/accounting system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Experience managing a full set of accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST and tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, SAP or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Preferred Experience
• Experience in the FMCG, food distribution, retail, import/export or manufacturing industry .
• Inventory costing and stock management.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• ERP implementation or system improvement projects.
