Pharmacy Technician Extern - Pharmacy - Per Diem - Days - MHM

About the role

This role is an on-the-job, paid training with hands-on learning experience aimed to obtaining a Florida State Pharmacy Technician registration. The role works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and alongside other licensed pharmacy technicians to become proficient in performing pharmacy related duties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The Pharmacy Technician Extern position requires enrollment and participation in the Florida Board of Pharmacy approved Employer-Based Pharmacy Training Program.

• Education and Certification Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
• Additional Job Information:
• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work well with others in a team with minimal supervision. Ability to respond positively in a stressful environment and meet the physical demands of the department.
• Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required.
• Other Information: Complete the Pharmacy Technician Employer Training Program and obtain registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Florida within six (6) months of starting the program.
