Job Family: Student Regular Wage Department: Housing and Residence Life Supervisor: Charlene Durham Job Title: Resident Director Job Description: The Resident Director position is a supervisory position and serves as a role model and leader for their area. The position requires leadership skills, good judgement, energy, commitment, self-discipline, knowledge of campus resources and sensitivity to culture differences. The Resident Director assists the Area Coordinator, works collaboratively with and supervises the area staff, advises the hall governments, and serves as a resource to residents to develop a strong positive and respectful community in their area. Resident Director must be pursing their bachelor's or master's degree. A full-time student and maintain a minimum of 12 (bachelor's) or 6 (master's) credit hours, good standing with Mercer University and the appropriate academic college, good judicial standing with the University and the Office of Housing and Residence Life, comply with all departmental, university, local, state, federal policies and laws, live on campus in assigned apartment and meet a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average and a 2.5 semester grade point average throughout their term of employment. Scheduled Hours: 20 Start Date: 07/1/2026 End Date: 05/12/2027
