As we continue to grow across Southern Europe, we are looking for a highly organized and commercially minded Sales Operations & Business Development Specialist to strengthen our commercial engine and help accelerate our growth in Spain and Portugal. The Role This role combines commercial operations, sales support, and business development. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our sales process runs efficiently while proactively generating new business opportunities within the energy retail market. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Finance teams to support the full customer lifecycle-from initial lead generation through contract signature and customer onboarding. What you'll Do Commercial Operations (60%) CRM & Pipeline Management Maintain and continuously improve the CRM system. Ensure opportunities, customer interactions, and activities are accurately recorded. Monitor pipeline progression and proactively follow up on open opportunities. Ensure no commercial opportunity falls through the cracks. Tenders & RFP Management Coordinate responses to public and private tenders and RFPs. Gather required documentation and supporting materials. Manage submission deadlines and stakeholder contributions. Ensure professional and high-quality submissions. Commercial Administration Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, and commercial documentation. Assist with customer contract management and administrative follow-up. Support contract signature and onboarding processes. Reporting & Commercial Insights Prepare sales reports, pipeline analyses, and KPI dashboards. Provide management with accurate commercial performance insights. Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis. Internal Coordination Act as a bridge between Commercial, Product, Operations, and Finance teams. Ensure smooth handovers from prospect to active customer. Support alignment across departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Document Management Maintain commercial templates, presentations, pricing documentation, and case studies. Ensure commercial materials remain current and easily accessible. Business Development (40%) Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify and qualify new prospects within the energy retail market across Spain and Portugal. Conduct market research using LinkedIn, industry databases, CNMC resources, and other relevant sources. Build and maintain prospect lists and target account strategies. Outbound Sales Activities Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and other channels. Initiate conversations with key stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Operations, and Commercial Directors. Lead Nurturing Build relationships with early-stage prospects. Qualify opportunities and guide leads through the sales funnel until they are ready for engagement by the commercial team. Events & Industry Engagement Support Eneve and NEMON's presence at conferences, trade fairs, and industry events. Generate leads and strengthen brand awareness within the energy sector. What We're Looking For Experience 1-3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Support, Commercial Administration, Inside Sales, Business Development, or a similar role. Experience supporting B2B sales processes. Experience working in SaaS, software, technology, or energy-related environments is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies Commercial & Analytical Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle. Commercially minded with an interest in business development. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Technical & Systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting). Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar. Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and lead generation tools. Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create professional proposals, reports, and customer-facing documentation. Strong stakeholder management capabilities. Personal Attributes Highly organized and structured. Proactive and self-starting. Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
