Responsibility Able to conduct Radio survey of GMDSS equipment. Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in Marine navigation systems such as Marine Radar, Gyro compass, Magnetic compass, autopilot, echo sounder, speed log, steering - FFU/NFU, weather fax, wind speed/direction etc Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in communication systems such as GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area networks, email system etc. Servicing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine communication and navigation equipment. Providing technical support on email / phone enquiries to service coordinators. Mainly job duties at Shipyard, anchorage, and overseas for installation, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, repair and warranty. Ensure conformance to ensure test results are consistent. Completion of Installation and commissioning work with proper reports. Management of Service reports, record on service, maintenance, warranty, and repair works are given. Liaison with Service Coordinator and relevant suppliers to provide technical solutions for defect reports relating to equipment and follow up to customer's requirements. Work experience with Radar, Echosounder, Autopilot, Speed log, Radio Equipment, MF/HF, VHF, Fleet Broadband, VSAT and etc. is an advantage. Prepare the service reports after completion of jobs.
