Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness. Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments. Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training. Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software. Some positions in this series may specialize in one or two functional areas, where more specific academic preparation may be necessary. For such positions, agencies may require course work in the applicable functional area(s) as part of the above-required 24 semester hours. AND To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Applying statistical data to various software applications to develop utilization reports based on intervention output requirements. Responding to and tracking product feedback, library feedback, and requests for intervention revision from the field. Serving as an instructional design and development ISS for the development or revision of distributed performance support interventions. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Have 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D degree or Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Possess a combination of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in or related to the work of this position AND graduate level education that provided the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and experience. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify at that grade level NOTE: All experience statements (i.e., duties, specialized experience, or related applicable assessment) copied from this announcement and pasted into your resume will not be considered as a demonstration of your qualifications for this position. NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at this grade level.
