And starting right now, we want to do all that with you. Work Location/ Schedule: 4 days in office at Vernon HQ with international travel, as needed. We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to oversee end-to-end production operations across our Los Angeles and Mexico vendor base. This role is critical to ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and strong vendor relationships across both domestic and nearshore manufacturing. The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and comfortable navigating the complexities of cross-border production.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production operations across LA and Mexico-based factories and vendors
- Own the production lifecycle from PO issuance through in-DC delivery, ensuring all milestones are met
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with factory partners, holding them accountable to quality, capacity, and lead time expectations
- Conduct regular factory visits in LA and Mexico to assess capacity, quality, and operational performanceIdentify and onboard new vendors as needed to support growth and risk mitigation
- Track and communicate production status across all active styles, escalating risks proactively
- Manage WIP reports and provide regular updates to cross-functional stakeholdersProblem-solve production delays, quality issues, and capacity constraints in real time
- Operate skillfully in our ERP/PLM systems to ensure data is accurate and up-to-date
Requirements
- 5+ years of production management experience in apparel or fashion, with direct experience managing domestic (LA) and/or Mexico vendors
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Strong understanding of garment construction, tech packs, and quality control processes
- Proven track record of managing multiple styles and vendors simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in PLM systems, Excel, and production tracking tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel to Mexico and vendor locations regularly
