HOW YOU'LL WORK:MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Extended Services: Assist in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the primary care nurse or therapist. Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.Communication: Maintain good relationships with the patient, the patient's family, and staff. Reports any changes to the patient's medical and living conditions to the supervisor or the primary nurse.Minimize Patient Risk: Meet safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, Oxygen, etc.). Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence.Policies: Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.HARD & SOFT SKILLS:Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude.Understanding of the hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill and secure with the issues of death/dying.Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions.Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)
