ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates Collaborate s with sales staff, both locally and long distance, as well as carrier partners in developing and executing marketing and placement strategies to drive new business growth Prepare s and submit s new business applications, including supplementals, to carrier partners Generate s quotes utilizing carrier online quoting systems and create s professional, detailed proposals per agency standards Enter s prospect and underwriting information into agency management system and maintain s organized account files with proper documentation Negotiate s optimum coverage terms and pricing while identifying and suggesting coverage enhancements and options Maintain s knowledge of carrier and broker appetites and specialty programs , including attending carrier meetings to stay apprised of market and rate changes Effectively communicate s quoted coverages, costs , and deductibles to producers including identifying and suggesting coverage enhancements and mitigation opportunities Coordination and issuance of binders, invoices, auto ID cards, filings and finance agreements Assist s in providing a seamless transition from marketing to assigned servicing team Manage s day to day relationships with carrier partners and assist s in building long term partnerships Assist s in upholding company appetite and standards while building relationships with producers and contributing to their success Strive s to help meet or exceed agency and department goals and deadlines including assisting other team members as needed REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to: 3-5 years of similar or related insurance experience Systems skills - experience with Epic and Indio High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations Math skills and familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while responding to requests in a timely , accurate , and friendly manner Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and quick turnaround demands Strong computer proficiency Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Willing to work overtime if necessary due to cyclical nature of business Similar or related experience preferred COMPETENCIES & TRAITS: Building relationships Agility/Flexibility Self-Direction Problem Solving Communicating Salary Range $52,000 - $75,000 USD Compensation & Benefits Being a part of IMA has its benefits.
