Your role As part of the Level Design family, The Event Scripting Designer will work closely with Level Designers to conceptualize and integrate various scripted events and cinematic scenes into the engine throughout the production process in collaboration with the animation, programming, sound, and level art groups. Your daily adventure BE AWARE OF THE GAME AND LEVEL DESIGN DOCUMENTS Environments, objectives, atmospheres, story, and style to understand the overall game experience WORK DIRECTLY WITH QUEST DESIGNERS To conceptualize impactful narrative events and define key realization needs for compelling storytelling UNDERSTAND INTENTIONS REGARDING CUTSCENES AND CINEMATICS Including the associated events and narrative flow DETERMINE FEASIBILITY OF SCRIPTED EVENTS In line with expectations and technical constraints INTEGRATE ANIMATED, GAMEPLAY AND INTERACTIVE OBJECTS As well as scripted cameras in collaboration with Level Design TEST CINEMATIC SCENES AND SCRIPTED EVENTS To ensure proper integration without conflicts with other game elements CONDUCT R&D ON CINEMATIC SYSTEMS WHEN NEEDED In collaboration with technical teams Your skills ENTHUSIASM AND DESIRE TO WORK IN GAME DEVELOPMENT And strong motivation to create compelling narrative experiences through gameplay ABILITY TO WORK IN COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENTS With creative, cross-functional teams GOOD COMMUNICATION AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS Enabling effective collaboration and issue resolution WILLINGNESS TO LEARN New tools, systems, and technologies ABILITY TO PRODUCE CLEAR DOCUMENTATION IN ENGLISH Concise and well-structured written communication and documentation PROFICIENCY WITH BASIC SOFTWARE TOOLS Such as word processing and spreadsheets KNOWLEDGE OF VIDEO GAMES Good understanding and hands-on experience TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS Ability to organize own work and meet deadlines GOOD COMMAND OF ENGLISH Both written and spoken EXPERIENCE WITH GAME DEVELOPMENT OR GAME ENGINES Will be considered an advantage KNOWLEDGE OF LEVEL EDITING TOOLS AND SCRIPTING Such as Unreal or other engines is a plus EXPERIENCE IN VISUAL PROGRAMMING Will be a plus FAMILIARITY WITH 3D SOFTWARE Such as Autodesk 3D Studio Max and MotionBuilder is a plus
