About the role
Grade: SG7 | Department : Strategic Planning | Fixed-term 't il July 2027 The University of Greenwich is continuing to strengthen how data & insight support decision-making across the institution, with a focus on improving performance monitoring, planning and reporting. The Strategic Planning Analyst will play a key role in delivering high-quality analysis and reporting across a range of institutional priorities, including student outcomes, performance monitoring and planning processes. Duties and responsibilities will typically include working as part of a team to: Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends and patterns across strategic datasets, including student continuation, completion and awarding outcomes Provide clear insight and recommendations to support decision-making, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for a range of stakeholders, both technical & non-technical Contribute to institutional planning and performance processes, including student number planning & KPI monitoring Support the implementation of strategic data initiatives through defined analytical deliverables Maintain documentation and ensure consistency in reporting & analysis Build effective working relationships across the university and contribute to cross-team projects and continuous improvement Applicants should be able to demonstrate: Experience in a data, analytics or Business Intelligence role Experience producing analysis and reporting to support decision-making Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical & problem-solving skills Strong Excel skills and experience working with data to generate insight Experience of working in higher education or a complex organisation, and experience with tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar, would be advantageous.
