Responsibilities

  • Under guidance, carries out procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.

  • Addresses defects found in release testing and works with the appropriate team members to resolve open testing issues or testing questions.
  • Aligns with the Nationwide automated testing reference architecture.
  • Complies with release management process governance and timelines throughout the release.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reporting Relationships: Reports to Technology Manager or Director.
  • Typical Skills and Experiences:
  • Education : Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • License/Certification/Designation : Technology certifications including TOSCA Automated Specialist 1 (AS1), TOSCA Automated Specialist 2 (AS2), or other related designations are preferred.

This is a hybrid role with the team being in the Columbus, OH office Mon-Tues each week. This position is a backfill for an existing Sr Analyst, Quality Engineer role supporting Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) IT delivery. The role partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders on an agile team to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable delivery across PRT applications and integrated business processes. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, and test automation, with the ability to translate business requirements and user stories into effective end-to-end test coverage. You will also have the opportunity to learn development practices also if interested. This role is expected to support adoption of efficient, lean testing practices by leveraging risk-based testing, automation, test data management, and regression testing approaches where appropriate. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to help maintain quality across complex business workflows, upstream/downstream integrations, and production changes in support of PRT portfolio outcomes.
