Hedge Fund Execution Trader - Asian Equities/ Macro Background

Responsibilities

• Execute Macro Trading strategies across asset classes including FX, Rates, Equities, Commodities, and Credit products to achieve optimal trading outcomes
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and brokers to develop and implement trade execution strategies that enhance trading performance
• Monitor and enforce compliance with risk limits and internal guidelines to maintain disciplined and controlled trading practices
• Analyze intraday market conditions to adjust execution strategies for improved trading results
• Reconcile data between Order and Execution Management Systems (OEMS) and Portfolio Management Systems (PMS) to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Prepare monthly market and investor reports to communicate trading activities and market trends to stakeholders effectively
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Provide cross-functional support to risk management, marketing, and other teams to facilitate smooth operations and collaboration
• Required competencies and certifications
• Prior experience in Macro Trading OR Asian Equity Trading (specifically Hong Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan, India) within a sell-side or buy-side institution
• Flexibility to shift work
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Communicate effectively in Japanese (JLPT N3 or equivalent) to support collaboration with Portfolio Managers
• Utilize VBA, Python, and/or SQL to automate processes and perform data analysis for operational efficiency
• Use advanced Excel skills to conduct detailed analysis and generate reports
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced trading environment
• Maintain strong attention to detail and risk awareness to uphold trading discipline
• Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment to support cross-functional goals
