Responsibilities

  • Support Lab Operations: Assist Medical Technologists (MTs) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) with a range of laboratory procedures.

  • Physical Requirements
  • Mobility: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle lab instruments and computer systems.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision & Hearing: Ability to read and interpret data, identify specimens, and communicate clearly in person and by phone.
  • Flexibility: Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access equipment or supplies.
  • Attention to Detail: Sustained concentration for accurate specimen handling and testing.
  • OSHA Category: This position involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
