Responsibilities

  • Design and execute in vitro assays to evaluate activity and potency (safety and efficacy) of ADCs with novel natural product payloads

Requirements

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field.
  • 3-4+ years of biotech/pharma experience.
  • Experience in leading CRO campaigns to completion on timelines with high quality study data
  • Experience generating and analyzing experimental datasets to support in vivo and ex-vivo model selection
  • Deep understanding of efficacy and PK/PD drug relationships to help guide in vivo data interpretation
  • Proficiency with multicolor flow cytometry is ideal
  • Experience leading safety studies is a plus
  • Experience supporting ADCs, or targeted oncology programs, is a bonus
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams, and to positively partner with team members to move projects to completion

Location: Menlo Park, CA Job description: Hexagon Bio is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to support the development and characterization of next-generation ADCs featuring novel natural-product payloads. This position involves hands-on laboratory execution to support in vitro to in vivo translation, large data analysis to inform clinical indication, and CRO management to drive efficacy and safety studies in different species. You will contribute to evaluating the promise of ADCs with first in class payloads. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cancer cell biology , in vitro and vivo pharmacology, an understanding of in vivo activity and exposure relationships , and a demonstrated ability to think critically, multi-task, troubleshoot assays, and interpret data.
