The UX Designer designs thoughtful, user-centered ecommerce experiences for the Peter Millar and G/FORE US and UK websites. This role translates business goals and user needs into intuitive digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver who is comfortable working independently while incorporating feedback, analytics, and research into design decisions. This is a 5 month seasonal contract position located in Durham, NC. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Assist with end-to-end UX design for assigned initiatives - from discovery to concepting through wireframes, prototypes and final designs Partner closely with internal/external developers and other team members to ensure designs are implemented as intended Contribute to and maintain UX design standards, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency across experiences. Ensure all internally designed UX projects meet website accessibility (WCAG) requirements Participate in competitive analysis to find opportunities and make recommendations which increase revenue, optimize site usability, and increase sell-through rate Take part in UX reviews, workshops, and critiques with cross-functional partners Advocate for user-centered thinking while incorporating technical and business constraints COMPETENCIES: Balances multiple UX initiatives simultaneously, navigating speed, quality, and risk to deliver high impact design solutions Brings a user focused, innovative, and solutions-oriented mindset, using creative and analytical problem solving along with scrappy resourcefulness to overcome challenges efficiently Maintains clarity, patience, and objectivity while giving and receiving constructive feedback across teams and partner groups Understands the value of brand integrity and effectively balances brand, user, and business considerations in decision making DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of UX design experience with a strong focus on website or digital platform design Experience with Figma is required Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred Experience designing responsive apparel ecommerce websites strongly preferred A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/Interactive Design, Graphic Design or related experience Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
