About the role
Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will be involved in supporting the management and coordination of all terminal related operations and to execute excellence in the provision of safe, reliable, and effective operations to ensure delivery of product to customers. The position is based at the Gladstone Terminal and operates on a Mon - Fri basis with regular after hours paid overtime expected and an on-call roster.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of shipping discharge operations and inventory management.
- Coordination, Permitting and supervision of terminal related projects and maintenance activities.
- Achieve Incident and Injury Free performance
- Ensure that the facility operates in a safe and reliable manner
- Support strategic and key infrastructure projects
- Deliver high levels of service to internal and external customers, resellers, business partners and other terminal gate customers
- Meet all the Ampol and other legislative requirements
- Ensure cost effective management of assets and expenditure
- Support stock replenishment shipping operations which include overtime, weekend, and public holiday work.
- About you
- You bring a positive, can-do attitude, with previous experience in oil & gas or other hazardous environments considered highly advantageous. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience will help you excel in this role.
- You demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Qualification & Experience
- Previous experience in petroleum industry or hazardous facility, working knowledge of terminal and pipeline operations is desirable
- Issue and/or receipt of work permits is desirable.
- SAP experience is a desirable
- Good sound knowledge of relevant industry and safety standards
- Strong planning and organising skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Sound knowledge of mechanical aptitude
- Safety focussed with experience in safe operation of a hazardous facility is ideal
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in MS Office
- A manual c class licence or the ability to obtain one.
