Responsibilities

  • Lead and support engineering activities with a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and equipment design
  • Execute engineering projects to ensure designs meet customer requirements and Valmet standards
  • Coordinate scheduling of technical resources, equipment, and project deliverables across global teams
  • Develop and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of engineering tools and global processes
  • Collaborate and coordinate with engineering teams worldwide to ensure seamless project execution
  • Support customer and internal presentations related to project scope, equipment design, and troubleshooting
  • Travel to customer sites (20-30%) for troubleshooting, data collection, and field support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in design, layout, or stress engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry, particularly with: Vacuum washers, Twin roll presses, Agitators, Disk filters, Screens and related pulping equipment, Mechanical Pulping
  • Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate global design teams
  • Experience overseeing engineering deliverables and guiding designers to completion
  • Ability to perform field measurements and support installation modifications
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to support customer needs on-site
