Responsibilities
- Lead and support engineering activities with a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and equipment design
- Execute engineering projects to ensure designs meet customer requirements and Valmet standards
- Coordinate scheduling of technical resources, equipment, and project deliverables across global teams
- Develop and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Drive adoption and continuous improvement of engineering tools and global processes
- Collaborate and coordinate with engineering teams worldwide to ensure seamless project execution
- Support customer and internal presentations related to project scope, equipment design, and troubleshooting
- Travel to customer sites (20-30%) for troubleshooting, data collection, and field support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in design, layout, or stress engineering
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry, particularly with: Vacuum washers, Twin roll presses, Agitators, Disk filters, Screens and related pulping equipment, Mechanical Pulping
- Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate global design teams
- Experience overseeing engineering deliverables and guiding designers to completion
- Ability to perform field measurements and support installation modifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills to support customer needs on-site
