- Perform maintenance duties and responsibilities. - Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls. - Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. - Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments. - Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production. - Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. - Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and power tools. - Controls downtimes by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques. - Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. - Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. - Previous experience with machine maintenance. - Bachelors Degree or technical experience - Ability to interpret and implement OSHA standards for the facility. - Troubleshooting equipment and strong understanding of machine control logic. - Attention to detail is critical. - Workers should be able to reassemble large, complex machines after finishing a repair. - Safety conscious at all times. - Reliable transportation to and from work (must have a valid driver's license). - Ability to take and pass pre-employment drug screening test Physical Demands - Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis. - Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily. - Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products. - Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift)
