English Teacher (Grades 1 - 3) + Business Operation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time, On-site English Content Teacher + Business Operations Specialist to support the development and delivery of our English Language Arts (ELA) program for Grades 1-3 in San Jose, California. This role combines teaching excellence with operational and business exposure , making it ideal for candidates who are passionate about education and interested in contributing to broader program growth and student experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons for Grades 1-3 in areas such as phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence construction
• Teach both short-term and long-term group classes in a structured classroom setting
• Create a positive, organized, and age-appropriate learning environment
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents to support long-term academic growth
• Business Operations Responsibilities
• Participate in recruitment and marketing initiatives, including student assessments and trial classes
• Support in-person events such as info sessions, workshops, and community outreach activities
• Contribute to program development and operational improvements

Requirements

• Experience in ELA, early literacy, reading intervention, ESL/ELL, or lower elementary education preferred
• Bachelor's degree required (Education, English, or related fields preferred; open to all majors)
• Passion for education and working with young learners
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Patient, empathetic, and student-centered mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
