Responsibilities

  • Uphold confidentiality of recipes, standards, and operational procedures in line with brand requirements.
  • Support training of commis chefs and kitchen associates as directed by senior culinary leadership.
  • Contribute to a positive, disciplined, and collaborative kitchen culture that reflects the elegance, precision, and excellence of Raffles & Fairmont Doha.
  • What will you bring to this role?
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred.
  • Culinary qualification or professional certification from a recognized culinary institute is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, presentation standards, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP certification preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a diverse kitchen brigade.
  • Demonstrated passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury hotel kitchen environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage assigned section responsibilities effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing food wastage.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with chefs and support operational excellence.
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours, including standing for extended periods.
