Data Scientist

About the role

We're looking for two Data Scientists to join AGL's Data Science Chapter and partner with the Acquisition Performance & Enablement and Product & Pricing Analytics teams. You'll leverage advanced analytics, machine learning and predictive modelling to solve complex business challenges, uncover growth opportunities and deliver data-driven insights that influence commercial decision-making. Working in a cross-functional environment, you'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders while remaining connected to a community of data science specialists focused on innovation, knowledge sharing and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced machine learning, predictive and optimisation models that drive customer growth, retention and commercial performance.
• Transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and create measurable business value.
• Partner with stakeholders across Product, Commercial, Technology and Analytics teams to solve high-impact business challenges.
• Design experiments, investigate customer behaviours and uncover opportunities to enhance products, pricing strategies and customer experiences.
• Bring insights to life through compelling data storytelling, visualisations and dashboards while championing innovation and best-practice data science across AGL.
• About you:
• Proven experience developing predictive models, machine learning solutions and advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, with the ability to work across large and complex datasets.
• Expertise in translating data into actionable insights and communicating recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau, bringing insights to life through compelling storytelling.
• A curious and commercially minded approach, with a passion for innovation, experimentation and using data to drive customer and business outcomes.
