About the role

This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST), Position Description Number D2161000 and is part of the OH 121 Air Refueling Wing, Ohio Air National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the subject matter expert in managing the SF Squadron program to include Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployments, formal training programs, and readiness and emergency management. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
