- Familiarity with laboratory techniques (e.g. microscopy, chemical analysis, physical and mechanical testing).
- Ability to interpret test results and translate them into practical conservation solutions .
- Good technical writing and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working across disciplines.
- Desirable Experience
- Experience with lime mortars, historic masonry, concrete repair, timber decay, corrosion, or coatings .
- Knowledge of conservation principles, material compatibility, and minimal intervention approaches .
- Experience working on heritage buildings or existing building refurbishment projects.
- Exposure to relevant standards, guidelines, or conservation frameworks.
