Import Filing Team Specialist Part time 3 days (flexible), maternity cover- up to 12 months We are looking for an Import Filing Team Specialist to ensure all import filings are handled efficiently and accurately, supporting internal teams and customer experience. How you will help us and what you can expect Maintain the import tariff in line with the latest rates Improve the rate filing process within the MSC UK Agency To assist with the filing of all import customer agreements Cross check data and highlight errors proactively Work collaboratively with own and surrounding teams/agencies working in an agile manner to ensure peak workloads are covered as required Proactive approach to query resolution ensuring Import filings are amended, updated and always documented for robust audit purposes. To effectively analyse reasons for queries and raise them with the supervisor and/or the appropriate department where necessary Regular interaction with customers to build and maintain relationships while also proactively addressing issues that may cause disputes Always be a team player, maintaining a positive attitude within the team and business colleagues Maintain the highest level of feedback on a regular basis to the relevant Supervisor/Manager as well as key stakeholders within Trade, Query, Invoicing and Sales Departments (including local and Geneva agencies) of outstanding issues, where required. Ensure Freight related EMCs are requested and actioned In line with freight checking procedure Work alongside the Supervisor to assist with I.T Strategy - supporting with any ongoing projects, testing, processes and encouraging new levels or ways. Effectively prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment, ensuring time-sensitive and high-priority items are addressed promptly Skills and experience you'll bring to us Proven ability to work under pressure Ability to find improvements in processes/procedure Excellent communication skills, written and verbal A strong proactive team player Strong attention to detail and accuracy are a must The ability to multitask and adapt to frequent changes Always demonstrate a professional and positive manner Ability to motivate both self and colleagues Desirable skills: Basic IT skills (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word) General Shipping/Logistics understanding
