This is a full-time, in-person position. The MEP Superintendent plays a critical leadership role in managing the coordination, installation, and quality of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems on complex, large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all MEP activities from pre-construction through commissioning and close-out, ensuring compliance with project specifications and Holder standards.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to MEP subcontractors and vendors, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, major equipment, lighting, fire alarm, security, building automation systems, CCTV, power distribution, and communications systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP systems, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain project alignment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC programs and support the Energy Control and Safety Program to uphold Holder's zero-accident culture.
  • Manage punch lists, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive timely resolution of challenges using all available resources.
  • Oversee start-up and commissioning activities, ensuring all MEP systems meet performance and operational requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owner representatives, architects, engineers, and clients while supervising subcontractors and vendors.
  • Lead workforce planning, logistics coordination, and resource allocation for MEP activities to support efficient project execution.

Requirements

  • Required:
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with large, sophisticated MEP systems.
  • Proven ability to manage complex MEP infrastructure projects such as data centers, stadiums, or other special-use facilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including commissioning protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools, QA/QC processes, and advanced commissioning procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety programs and energy control requirements.
