Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Technical Direction
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver engineering solutions ensuring team capabilities align with customer expectations.

- Ensure delivery in accordance with Thales processes and practices, actively contributing to their continuous improvement
- Support discipline managers in defining and tailoring applicable processes, practices, and tools for the project
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Communicate, analyse, plan, and report as necessary to align team capabilities with customer requirements
- Ensure clear and effective communication (both written and verbal) with internal and external customers
- Manage customer scope in line with the approved baseline and schedule
- Manage customer expectations and provide support during requirements analysis, proposing and negotiating mutually beneficial ("win-win") solutions
- Risk, Quality & Reporting
- Identify and assess risks, propose effective solutions, execute mitigation actions, and report on outcomes, cost savings, and residual risks
- Define and maintain metrics to monitor progress, measure performance, identify issues early, and support informed decision-making to ensure successful delivery
- Prepare and lead monthly Technical and Financial Reviews (TFR) sessions and support the Work Package review process
- Commercial & Bid Support
- Support bid activities and contribute to the preparation and review of engineering cost estimates for modification proposals to the functional baseline
Requirements
- Degree inEngineering, Computer Science, IT or other relevant qualification
- Essential Experience
- Solid experienceof managing the development of real time distributed complex software centricsolutions in a safety critical environment (10+ years)
- A recognisedleader with solid experience in managing multi-skilled global engineering teamsand fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Solid knowledgeand experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle (eg. EIA632, ISO/IEC15288)
- Advancedanalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage a wide rangeof stakeholders across a complex environment
- Solid experiencein upskilling and training new engineers
- Strongexperience using Earned Value Management, Work Package Control and reporting,with exposure to scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera etc.)
- Financial /budgetary management of engineering work packages or tasks
- Strong abilityto communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including Project,Engineering Delivery Managers, Product Owners, Technical Design Authorities,Speciality engineers and the engineering team under management.
- Collaborationtools including Jira, Confluence etc.

- Air TrafficManagement domain expertise (inc. standards such as ICAO, Eurocontrol, AIDC)
- Experience inproduct delivery using agile methodologies like Lean methods (including PDCA,Kanban, Value-Stream Mapping). Priorexperience working in an Agile@Scale framework is a bonus
