Responsibilities
- Pumping Trucks
- Driving around the lot able to fuel and add DEF
- Hook up and draft water, engage a pump and discharge water out any discharge.
- Conduct hydrostatic and hydrodynamic tests (Hydro test at 250 psi to 500 psi)
- Operate each system on the truck including but not limited to foam system, CAFS system, flow meters, electrical valves, dump chutes
- Road tester
- Inspect truck to ensure it is safe to drive on the road and refuel
- Complete DOT check to ensure the truck is road legal
- Drive truck on road and highway safely
- Use the scale to weigh a truck
- Calibrate ABS and ESC
- Perform walk around fire apparatus inspections
- Prepare apparatus for testing procedures
- Initiate test and monitor pump performance and engine conditions
- Document test performance
- Repair applicable documented inadequacies and provide root cause analysis
Requirements
- CDL license required
- Four or more years related experience in automotive mechanics, automotive electrical, or mechanical assembly
- STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a CDL
- HVAC certification
- Electrical or mechanical certification
- 5 or more years experience

This position will be responsible for solving problems involving a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardized situations exist utilizing principles of rational thinking and problem solving. Transport trucks between facilities, dealers or repair shops as needed.
