Responsibilities

  • Evaluate blueprints and develop machining strategies.
  • Identify and select appropriate tooling for hardware.
  • Design and create fixturing to support machining operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with multi-axis CNC lathes and mills.
  • Strong background in complex machine setups.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience running manual mills and lathes with little to no supervision (preferred).
  • Experience machining titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other standard aerospace materials.
  • Experience with CNC Swiss-type (screw machines) a plus.
  • Experience with ESPRIT or Mastercam programming software a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection tools.
  • Ability to work independently; prior lead experience a plus.

Benefits

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year. Job Description CNC Machinist Location: Moorpark, CA | 2nd Shift | Reports to: Machine Shop Supervisor EBA&D seeks a qualified CNC Machinist to join our team in Moorpark, CA. This position is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machining centers and lathes in accordance with work orders, routers, and blueprints. Most parts are small in size, with run quantities ranging from 10 to 500 pieces.
