Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Bank) The Clementine Churchill Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: Up to £40.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow Is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Duties of this role include: Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring. Optimise medicines use through evidence-based interventions, ensuring the safe and effective management of long-term and acute conditions. Support prescribing decisions through clinical assessment, risk evaluation, and formulary guidance. Lead on implementation of medicines optimisation strategies, ensuring prescribing is cost-effective, safe, and aligned with national/local guidelines. Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies. Monitor and report on medicines usage, compliance, and safety incidents, participating in root cause analysis and quality improvement. Applicants should meet the following criteria: - GPhC-registered Pharmacist. Significant post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation. Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff. Have completed or due to complete in the next 12 months. Post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or CPPE Pharmacists in General Practice programme. Salary & Benefits Circle Health Group offers a competitive hourly rate.
