Responsibilities
- Patrol VH facilities and grounds to identify safety hazards and suspicious activity
- Respond swiftly to alarms, emergency codes, and calls for assistance
- Document incidents and investigations accurately and professionally
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and external agencies
- Monitor and enforce parking policies and secure hospital access points
- Support patients in crisis, including one-on-one watches and behavior management in collaboration with clinical teams
- Maintain access control systems, key management, and alarm systems
- Help maintain a calm, safe environment by assisting with de-escalation and conflict resolution

- What You Bring to the Team:
- Experience: 2+ years of prior security experience preferred; healthcare security is a big plus
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean DMV record per VH standards
- Tech Skills: Able to quickly learn and use computer systems, complete online training, and stay current with documentation
- Language: Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Professionalism: Candidates must demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to effectively comprehend, retain, and process both verbal and written communication.
